What would u do if
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 10:26 AM on September 16, 2005 in Daily stories as a favorite post.
Gee!!! I wrote that I was happy in my tagboard... Yup yesterday I was happy and excited due to another new project. I still do the previous one but I've got the next. And I'm glad coz it's exciting and challenging
But I got stuck in my current project and now I experience it again!!!
Suddenly my mood changed and I became more frustrated coz I haven't finished reading the material for cell group.
Went out from office at 6.15pm and took cab to nearest MRT. But the stupid driver drove me through the way with so many traffic lights
And his stupidity was contagious!!! I gave him wrong amount of money and he didn't realize it also... And just like that my money gone away...
Learning to let go my money, I continue my journey to a village named Boon Lay. Another trouble still coming in my way. But I just continued. At one of the blue building there, I found out once again that support group is still the best place to pour out all my feeling.
Anyway I consider this as my first entry here. Welcome to the Chronicles of My Life. If everything is going on well, I'll settle down here. But I think I need to settle this font problem first. Happy weekend

Indonesian Art Festival
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 10:50 AM on September 19, 2005 in Daily stories.
Last Saturday was the day for Indonesian Art Festival. One big event organized by Indonesian students from Secondary to Tertiary School, eksmud (eksekutif muda), plus people from Indonesian Embassy. I know they put such a big effort in preparing this event. Since I was in final year they already started planning for this event. Committee recruitment, actors and actresses, dancers, backstage crew, guest stars and many more.
This year's theme is Cindelaras. And like I've said before a friend of mine was involved as the leading actor. To be honest I don't even know who the other guest stars are. So I just came to watch him.
The show itself was fabulous
, I can say. Though there were some technical issues in the middle of the concert (sound system mainly), but I enjoyed the show. Maybe because it's been a long time since the last time I watched Indonesian show. I think I miss the combination of humor, serious, and poetic... all in one, just like what most Indonesian show will offer to you. So I was satisfied with the concert.
Luckily I'm a don't-really-care-about-music person. Sometimes when they are singing, the pronounciation is not clear. I'm not exaggerating but IMHO that friend of mine was the best vocalist
.
Besides the show itself, I enjoyed the chance to meet my friends from NTU. So glad I could catch up with few of them
. After the show we took some pictures together. Cheers.... See you at the next IAF. Hope you can join us next time ^.^

Be the 1st to experience i-mode

I take survey from Starhub at www.starhub.com/i-mode and this is the result ^.^
Spontaneous and adaptable "balance in life" seeker
You like to be in touch with the in-crowd, in touch with what's new, and making sure you have the best of it. You appreciate design, and quality. You can give a 120% when you need to, but know that you don't need to 100% of the time. You know that life is for living, and you're smart enough to make sure that you have time to relax, chill and just be yourself.
You come across to many as a patient, people person who is a good listener, adaptable and accommodating to others. You have the ability to "go with the flow" of your surroundings. This ability is both your biggest strength and weakness; at best, you're very accepting and supportive of others as they really are, but at worst you can sometimes forget who you yourself are, passively agreeing with others and reticent to assert your own desires.
You may have a particularly hard time when making painful decisions, like firing someone, because you also see the other person's predicament, and hate to force confrontations. Sometimes you can find it hard to get started on things. However, this inertia can also work to your advantage, because once started you will make slow-but-steady progress, becoming determined and relentless in your pursuits.
Famous people who share these traits include:
Bill Clinton, Carl Jung, Nelson Mandela, Tiger Woods, Prince Charles, Ronald Reagan, Albert Einstein, Dwight Eisenhower

Piracy is a crime?
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 09:04 AM on September 26, 2005 in Daily stories.
Huhuhu this posting is certainly not my favorite.... Coz I love downloading so much.... Especially when I was still in NTU. I believe I couldn't live without those downloaded songs and TV series..... And of course those pirated software
*bangga pula*
But what can I do? My God does hate this kind of thing coz it's simply a sin in His eyes. Remembering my first two years in NTU, I was really happy to download about ± 60 songs every night. And movies for me to enjoy when holiday comes. All without guilty feeling
.
The conscience came when some of my friends were discussing about this matter. Haha of course at first my reaction was: "what's wrong with that?" or "no need to be so serious about that, please" or "there are many other things u can take care of first". But I knew deep in my heart that what they were saying was true.
Now I'm not in NTU anymore. The temptation is not so big. I don't equip my computer with downloading software like Bittorrent and its relatives. And last Friday, NTU ISCF was celebrating its 7th birthday. Happy birthday
.... The topic for last fellowship was about integrity and more focus to Piracy. To my surprise, now the number of my juniors who are struggling to avoid piracy is increasing. They even put information about free or cheaper software like Linux, Star Office etc in the forum.
Now I'm asking myself what effort I have done, what sacrifices I've made, am I still hiding.... Hummmm I'm confused right now. I think i want to start step by step. Needs more efforts and commitment I know. But like one advertisement said, "Kalo ga sekarang, kapan lagi?"
And I believe one day this will be my favorite posting.
Disclaimer: Don't intend to put this as an offence to anyone. Just a personal sharing, so I disable commenting. However, if u also struggle like me about this problem, let's walk step by step for I believe every step is a miracle.
Oh yeah, Happy Birthday to Marlene. God bless u ^.^
