Weekend!!!
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 05:55 AM on October 3, 2005 in Daily stories.
Huhu too bad the new week has already started. After working I appreciate holiday very much. That's why weekend is my precious time coz I don't need to turn on my alarm. Oh yeah I have new alarm
. Just realized that I never bought proper alarm before. I always choose the cheap one and end up I always use my handphone alarm to wake me up. Hmmm I don't have the picture of my new alarm. I'll post it later. But the most important is..... I love this alarm
. I bought this in order to imitate Carrie Bradshaw's alarm. Well, not as good as hers but at least it can show the Date and Time ^.^
My weekend was quite fabulous. Well, I had one little stupid thing that I need to settle but that should be no problem for me. On Saturday I spent the evening with my colleagues. We had extremely delicious and heavy dinner.... And for the first time I drank quite a lot -> 2 glasses of "happy juice"* Hee hee after that we went for bowling *for exercise*
. Again, for the first time I can score more than.... ehmm.... 50
*usually only around 30*. Thx to both happy juice and good advice in how to bowl.
Actually the best thing was I could meet a bunch of new and nice people. So my weekend was a perfect combination of cool friends, yummy food, enjoyable game, and nice happy juice
. Hmmm there was also bad news in the middle of dinner. There were another bombs at Bali. Well, I can't say anything about this.... Hope everything will be fine... again....
Anyway, I skipped the movie session coz I needed to wake up early on Sunday. Ci Mel is on leave so all of us need to help hand in hand to prepare for Sunday Service. Huhu I just found out that there are lotzzz of things need to be done. Moreover, I had miscommunication with Ci Mel. So I didn't bring the laptop which I thought already at the church
.
Hehe a good experience, though. Next week I need to be more careful ^.^ Yesterday we were also discussing about Martin Luther in our Bible Study session. Hmmmmm this guy was really something. His strong determination is something I need to learn.
Now is 11:50AM. Still a long way to go till next weekend. Have a nice week everyone.....
* happy juice = special kind of juice.... if u drink it u'll laugh and laugh and laugh

i-Banking
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 04:29 AM on October 11, 2005 in Daily stories.
Wow today is a very memorable day. Why? Coz it's the first time I try i-Banking
... Kampung? Haha who cares....
Yesterday I decided to get new password for my i-Banking. After gathering with Angelz, we went to UOB ATM to activate my i-Banking. Thx to Filo and Ririn who have helped me in memorizing my temporary username and password. In short, they knew my username and password but didn't misuse it...
Hee hee
And this morning I tried to change my username and password and do my first payment to Starhub through i-Banking. Huehehehe I'm so happy and can't wait for the next payment ^.^
Anyway UOB got promotion related to i-Banking. Do at least one payment through i-Banking and you'll get a chance to win mobile phone charger. Too bad they don't have the charger for O2.

People Need The Lord
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 06:33 AM on October 14, 2005 in Daily stories.
Everyday they pass me by,
I can see it in their eye.
Empty people filled with care,
Headed who knows where?
On they go through private pain,
Living fear to fear.
Laughter hides their silent cries,
Only Jesus hears.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
When will we realize -- people need the Lord?
We are called to take His light
To a world where wrong seems right.
What would be too great a cost
For sharing Life with one who's lost?
Through His love our hearts can feel
All the grief they bear.
They must hear the Words of Life
Only we can share.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord
At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
When will we realize that we must give our lives,
For people need the Lord.
People need the Lord.

Frenemies
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 06:43 AM on October 17, 2005 in Daily stories.
Two events that trigger me to write this entry:
1. At the small gathering after first NGM this academic year (30 Sept 2005), one of my friends said that after working we tend to "lose" our humanity. Meaning? We care to other people less than before. We don't want to know about what happened around us. Even if we chat with our friends it's hard to concentrate on what they said.
True
? Hmmm for me it's more or less true... About one month ago, two friends said the same thing. They said, "Hey at last we do really chat ya Ver." Hehe it is not I never notice that before. It just happened that I feel tired and sleepy everytime I go back from office. So sorry.... Sighz....
2. Watched "Tentang Dia" at my lovely computer last week. I never knew that would be the last time I used my PC to watch movie... After Network Card and VGA Card problem, I think I'll use my laptop from now on.... Adios my faithful compie
. Back to "Tentang Dia". It's a story about a girl who has been betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend. So when there are one boy and one girl who want to be her friends, it's hard for her to trust them. She even utter some harsh words to the girl who really wants her to be happy. Well, sounds cliche is it? What touched me is, even after being hurt by the first girl, the second girl still hope that her friend will be truly happy. Too bad, the first girl found out about this after the second one died because of an accident.
Lessons? Many! I remembered the term "Frenemies" from Sex and The City. It's when your best friend turns to be your enemy just because of relatively small matters. And both of you are just too selfish to say sorry and talk about this again. Been there before? Yup, I have.... And it takes quite a long time to settle the things and back to normal
.
Back to case no.1. I still have a number of long lost friends to chat with. And I don't know where to start. Sometimes I called them on MSN, but they're too busy *like me
*.
Last thing, if you're my friend and it's been a long time since we had a warm and nice chat, here is one poem I found from internet.... specially for u
Quiet Emotions
by Judy Burnette
I always wanted more from you
than you were willing to give;
So now we've gone our separate ways
each with different lives to live.
The bond will always be there
the friendship always intact;
But the time for us has come and gone
and the pages of time, you can't turn back.
I will always be a friend to you
and wonder how you are;
The smiles and laughter I will remember
and our fights have become painless scars.
Sometimes on those busy days
when you've a thousand things to do;
Please let me glide slowly through your mind
and spend some time with you.
In that quiet moment
when you're surprised to find me there;
Just remember even with the distance between us
I am still someone who cares.

Nokia has announced a new line of fashion phones that they’re calling their ”L’Amour” collection. The Nokia 7380 (pictured) is a tri-band GSM/GPRS phone with a two-megapixel camera and flash and a 208x104 pixel 65,000-color display which could retail for just over $600. The Nokia 7370 is a tri-band swivel phone which has a 320x240 pixel, 262,000-color screen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, video ringtones, stereo speakers, Bluetooth, and an FM tuner expected to retail for around $360. Lastly, the Nokia 7360 is a candy bar-style phone, also tri-band, with a 128x160 pixel 65,000-color display and a VGA camera, which should cost around $240. Engadget has the scoop.

Exam is Coming
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 04:50 AM on October 25, 2005 in Daily stories.
There is something special about this time of year... Yup it's exam time.
Asik banget ga sih kedengerannya.... Gue juga kangen sama masa2 lampau itu hix hix.... Terus ada juga exam prayer meeting setiap sore buat kita saling sharing and ngedoain.... Ada juga acara ngedoain sebelum masuk ke exam hall. It's really a sweet blessing for me. Yang paling berkesan itu pas gue 2nd year and ada exam yang berdempetan... Pas hari terakhir gue dah teler and otak panas.... Mana subjectnya susah and seperti yakin fail.
And I really thank God for the supportive community I have. Hopefully kebiasaan2 ini ga bakal ilang and bisa jadi berkat buat smua orang. So..... buat yang bakal exam, baik yang master ato yang undergraduate.... All the best ya!!! Gue dukung dari jauh ^.^

Skeleton Key
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 03:36 AM on October 26, 2005 in Daily stories.
Watched The Skeleton Key two days ago with Goo and Jep. Since we were stucked around Ang Mo Kio area, we went to Junction 8 to have dinner. Suddenly both of them decided to watch The Skeleton Key and they left me with no choice. So I just joined them. I just read the review right before I went in the cinema. But it's too late coz Goo bought the tickets already
.
So I ended up closing my eyes for almost the whole movie. Luckily they wanted to explain to me what's going on so I still know the storyline. Hehe.... Not bad actually. Just take moral of the story... Never believe in things like hoodoo
, voodoo, etc etc.
Another story from me.... These two mornings I've been playing hide and seek. And it's not a good idea coz while I'm avoiding someone, I meet more undesired one. Sighzzz....

Before the Trip
Posted by ver0n1c4 at 04:23 AM on October 31, 2005 in Daily stories.
Yay.... I'm still going to office in this "kejepit" day. Very tempted not to go especially due to the heavy rain this morning
.
Hmmmm quite long since last time I updated this blog. Last Thursday suddenly my Pocket e-Sword stopped working. It's a program to read Bible through my XDAII mini. Huaaa quite stressed.... You know I always stressed if my handphone or my computer got some errors. So when I reached home, I quickly re-installed the Pocket e-Sword. Thx God, it could work properly again.
One thing that I realized.... If we just install the pocket e-Sword and open it for the first time, it will automatically point to one very popular and favorite verse: John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
I knew this verse since my first grade in Elementary School. In fact it's one of the first verses that I memorize. But why does this verse become so important? I agree that there are many more interesting and encouraging verses in the Bible. But I was reminded once again for the amazing love of God... without that, we would perish. Thx God for His love so that we could have eternal live by believing in Him.
Anyway starting from tomorrow onwards, I will be going for a Japan tour for 7 days. Until then, take care everyone. Yang mau exam, belajar yang bener biar dapet nilai yang lancip (A)
ya kalo ga lancip dapet yang bulet dikit (B) gpp deh...
Biarpun quiz mengkhawatirkan, tapi exam tetep semangatttt....
