My Hectic Week

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 03:49 AM on December 5, 2005 in Daily stories.

Happy Monday!!! Phewww a bit relaxed after my most hectic week for the last 4 months. As I have mentioned at previous post that last week I joined NTU-ISCF Camp for Leadership Seminar (evening session) only. Got quite a lot of new insights from this session.

On Friday I was planning to sleep after work. But I need to meet my friend who wanted to lent me his hard drive. So I ended up in joining Ndut, Jejep, and Asen having dinner at Pepper Lunch. And... No regret!!! This is the type of food I was eating on my last day at Japan. And I always dream about this meal since then. Due to my poor Japanese I don't know the name of restaurant. But now I know hahaha.... It's exactly the same food. The only difference is at Japan, we need to order from vending machine and got a number plus something like alarm. When the food is ready, the alarm will ring and we know we have to go and collect it. Kewl right?

I forgot to upload the pictures. Hee hee... I'll add it later Next... Saturday.... I had IGCF Rapat Pleno, PU Gabungan Meeting, and Kebaktian Pengutusan Mission Trip. Thanks God I had a good and faithful companion, Brillian! She lived nearby and have more or less common activities with me. Of course she is busier than me =P. So we went out around 9 a.m. in the morning and went home together again around 11.30 p.m. And she was like SBS owner!!! She knows exactly which bus to take to this direction or where to change bus if we want to go that direction. Amazing....

Sunday!!! After church service I had another meeting with Finance Division. I love this meeting for its effectiveness. Moreover we have professional members . Only one and a half hour!!! Then rushed to airport to meet Hans who will study in US for University. Hope he will be doing good there hehehe.... Since I'm already at airport, I waited for Marlene who went back to Bandung for holiday.... Mupenk..... Huhuhu... Still 2 months to go to go back home for me... Quando Quando Quando....

New prof email

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 07:40 AM on December 7, 2005 in Daily stories.

Anyway gue masih berniat bikin satu professional email... Masukan dan saran sangat diharapkan

Mission Accomplished

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 03:18 AM on December 9, 2005 in Daily stories.

Sorry mit gue colong kata2 dr blog elo

Hee hee WE DID IT!!!! Rushed from our office and go to Capital Tower. I was the first one who reached there... Only to find a not so long queue and my two excited friends were still stucked in the meeting!!! Goodness I shouldn't be in such a hurry if I knew this -__-

So I got my green tea frappucinno and went to toilet to settle some nature call . After that Chimit came and joined the queue. But where was Dian? No sign she would come soon... Meanwhile I couldn't leave my seat. So after Chimit got his drinks I joined the queue again for Dian. And guess what? The lady who was in charge in Salvation Army donation spotted me and said, "How come u're queueing again?"  Huhuhu Dian traktirrrrr.......

So the fact was, she was queueing at another Starbucks at the next building.. Gedubrak... Luckily she came soon after that. And there we were.... Enjoying our free drinks at one cozy corner hehehe... Thanks to Starbucks. They did a great job... Serve very fast and keep on smiling to all the customers. Will be waiting for the same event at 8 December 2006. Who wants to join us??? Which Starbucks shall we go next year?

Wedding, Belanja, and Foto2

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 03:57 PM on December 18, 2005 in Daily stories.

Woohoooo my first time attending a wedding party at Singapore! And the lucky couple are Alex and Eunike!! (Sharon's sister) Haha koq jadi mereka yang beruntung bukannya gue yang diundang hehe

The wedding was yesterday (17 Dec), around one week before Christmas... so romantic.... maybe they will have combined celebration every year hehehe..... And at the same day, my friend, Dhelle was also came here for only one day. She came from LA early in the morning (around 1 am) and went to Jakarta in the evening (around 8 pm). As a good friends, me and Oka planned to go with her from 8 am to 8 pm. So my plan was having breakfast with the gals, attend the wedding at 11 am, and joined the gals again until 6 pm.

Got ready at 8 am, called Oka but no answer, went to Dhelle's hotel and kept calling Oka. We suspect she's stil sleeping.... And it's true!!! Dia cuman bilang, "Sorry2 ga bangun kemaren gue abis nonton Kingkong....."  So she was 3 hours late from our appointment. When she came I need to rush to Regent Hotel for the reception.

Wedding ceremony is always beautiful no matter where it is held. It makes me feel touching how two different people decided to live together and build a family. For u who have shared an apartment with your friends, you should know how difficult it is to compromise with others. Sometimes, even with my own sister, there will always be friction. So congratulation to the newly married couple. God bless your marriage . I also got a chance to take picture with one couple, though this is not the married couple hahaha....

After that I continue my Saturday journey with Oka and Dhelle. We met to eat at Marche to celebrate Oka's birthday. Ups I was eating again!!! I need to exercise..... hix..... What makes me enjoy my time with them is their narcissism anytime anywhere.

-We are so great and we are so jealous to ourselves-

And u think this is enough? Yay of course NO! We had three TRECA photo taking session? Wait I'll scan the pics and post it either here or at Friendster. Mwah.... I love u gals... See you at Jan 2006!

Below is the lyrics I've got from the wedding. Somehow it's stuck in my head.... It's when the bride was walking along the aisle to meet the bridegroom at the altar.

THROUGH IT ALL

You are forever in my life
You see me through the seasons
Cover me with Your hand
And lead me in Your righteousness

And I look to You
And I wait on You

I'll sing to You, Lord
A hymn of love
For Your faithfulness to me
I'm carried in everlasting arms
You'll never let me go
Through it all

Hallelujah, hallelujah

KING KONG

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 03:05 AM on December 20, 2005 in Daily stories.

On Monday, it was King Kong day  I had dinner at Food Fountain, Suntec City, ate My Bakmie and peach desserts. Too bad couldn't had some drinks because we didn't have enough time. We only started eating one hour before our 9.00pm King Kong show. It's thrilling, it's gory, it's fun, it's recommended, it's King Kong !!! I think I would like to give four stars for the movie. The first hour was simply boring to say the least *I was sleeping*, but after that it was very thrilling and touching and exciting and so on..... If you haven't watched, what are you waiting for? hehehe....

The Chronicle of Narnia

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 12:33 PM on December 29, 2005.

Yesterday I got a chance to watch The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe at digital cinema. As expected I couldn't really say what makes it different from any usual cinema . The movie is nice. I like the children, the cute animal, the centaurs , cute beaver and most of all a deep and heavy sound of Aslan. It describes exactly what is written in the book. His presence could calm His people as well as tremble His enemies.

Well I finished the book like 1-2 weeks ago. Watching the movie yesterday triggered me to read the third book. So this morning I started reading The Horse and His Boy. I have no idea whether the story will be nice or not. But I found an inspiring quote to help me facing the New Year 2006.

Bree: ".... If you can't ride, can you fall?"
Shasta: "I suppose anyone can fall."
Bree: "I mean can you fall and get up again without crying and mount again and fall again and yet not be afraid of falling?"
Shasta: "I - I'll try."

Before The End of Season

As Long As There's Christmas
The Enchanted Christmas
Vocals: Belle, Chip, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, The Ornaments

[Belle] There is more to this time of year
           Than sleigh bells and holly
           Mistletoe and snow
           Those things come and go
           Much deeper than snow
Stronger than the strongest love we'll know
           We'll ever know

As long as there's Christmas I truly believe
That hope is the greatest of the gifts we'll receive
As long as there's Christmas we'll all be just fine
A star shines above us lighting your way and mine

[Cogsworth] Just as long as there's Christmas
                     There will be Christmas pud
                     Tons of turkey...

[Mrs. Potts] And cranb'ry sauce
And mince pies if we're good

[Lumiere] Loads of logs on the fire

[The Ornaments] Lots of gifts on the tree
All wrapped up in red ribbons...

[Chip] Wonder if there's one for me

[Cogsworth] We are due for a party
Where on earth do we start?

[Fi-Fi] I may wear my tiara
         You bought me in Monmartre

[Cogsworth] All the silver will sparkle

[Mrs. Potts] And the china will gleam

[Lumiere] And we'll all be shiny
                As a brand-new centime

[Chip] After dinner we'll play games

[Mrs. Potts] 'Till the morning breaks through

[Lumiere] Then we'll meet in the garden
This is what we shall do

[Chip] We will build us a snowman
That will reach up to the sky

[Belle] It will stay up until July

[Belle/Chorus] As long as there's Christmas I truly believe
That hope is the greatest of the gifts we'll receive

[Chorus] As long as our guiding star shines above

[Belle] As long as there's Christmas we'll all be just fine

[Belle/Chorus] There'll always be Christmas

[Belle] So there always will be a time
When the world is filled with peace and love
