yes, itu merk TV gue.... Kemaren teknisi JVC dateng ke rumah... Setelah ngecek2 pake ohm-meter *eh gue baru tau ohm-meter bisa bekerja tanpa hrs dicolok kmana2... haha pantes electronics gue ancur* dia pertama ganti powernya.... diukur2 lagi pake multimeternya akhirnya dia bilang ada yang short circuit di MAIN IC nya... hueeeee masa katanya kesamber petir....
gara2nya gue ga pernah bener2 matiin TV. biasa cuman pake remote control T_T trus mgkn kesamber petir dr SCV cable nya... Untungnya dia mau terima kalo warranty card gue ilang and gue cuman punya receipt nya... Hasilnya gue harus tunggu kira2 1 minggu or sampe mereka telpon gue...
Pertanyaan nya: setelah TV gue sembuh, mungkin ga giliran SCV cable nya yang rusak... kan katanya kesamber petirnya dari sono... siapa tau kabelnya jg rusak.... ada yg bisa jawab??? Makasiiii ^.^

Jarang banget gue mau muji orang baik apalagi sampe bilang dia berhati mulia =P. Last week I met a very good soul. He came in a form of a taxi driver. The story started when I was about to make payment, I just realized that I left my ATM card at home. So I needed to run back home, go out again to make the outstanding payment, and go for the next appointment.
I called 65522222 to book a cab just when another cab with green light came. I planned to just take the cab in front of me to save money (of course). Luckily it was near change shift time, so the driver didn't want to go to my home direction. At the very same time the cab that I called came. I got in, rushed back home, went out again to make the payment, and headed to Parkway for my next appointment.
During that time, I had conversation with the taxi driver. We talked about a lot of things like where I came from, what I am doing right now etc etc. Then he asked me how much money I actually needed to pay. I said actually not much, but I didn't have enough cash. Unexpectedly he said, "Oww you should tell me before, I can help you pay with my money or my card first. Then you don't have to waste a lot of money." And he continued blaming himself because he couldn't come with that idea earlier.
I'm very touched with what he said already. But when we reached my last destination point, he said I can pay him less (Wow) and I can contact him whenever I need a taxi driver, anytime, anywhere (Wow!!). I asked him what makes him so nice. He said he was very poor. And he learned that he doesn't always have to earn money. Sometimes he has to help other people while driving.
One day, when he wasn't working, a Malaysian came in front of his house and asked the direction to go to Woodlands. He tried to explain but that man still had no confidence he could reach that place. At last this taxi driver drove the Malaysian's car to Woodlands and went back to his place by MRT. He didn't even want to get paid for transport fee. Another day, two China girl jumped into his cab. Later on he knew that those girls were so poor and had nothing to eat for the whole day. He let them go without paying and giving them $10 to eat.
Well, masih kagum sampe sekarang... Ternyata orang yang bener2 baik itu ada =)

Hi!!! Lately gue sibuk banget. Ga setiap saat sih tapi hampir setiap hari sejak minggu lalu selalu ada email yang bikin deg2an >.< soal kerjaan tentunya... Yang ngirim email cuman satu orang, tapi tiap kali kirim email selalu ngasi kerjaan baru yang hampir mirip2 dan semua urgent... Semua harus diselesaikan a.s.a.p -__- Ya begitulah resiko orang kerja... Kalo sibuk sibuk banget, kalo kosong bisa sampe ngebaca abis apapun yang ada di internet.
I have few updates. Semuanya important tapi sekarang bener2 ga ada waktu buat meng-chronicle-kan di Tabulas tercinta... Tapi gue janji begitu ada waktu pasti langsung update =)
Btw lagi banyak film2 box office memenuhi cinema -__- maklum musim liburan anak2. Gue baru sempet nonton Da Vinci Code itupun karena bos gue punya tiket gratis yang ga mau dia pake... Jadilah gue menonton di Grand Cathay hohoho lengkap dengan Pop Corn dan Coca Cola gratis. Oh iya itu dalam ranga UTAC Singapore Movie Day 2006. Hahaha gue ngakak begitu masuk layar screen nya ada logo UTAC (maklum mereka book satu theatre) terus formal banget ada welcome speech dari presiden nya juga =P Gue yang tadinya dah menyelundupkan dinner sampe ga enak kalo mau makan di dalem... Terpaksa deh makan pop corn aja hehehe
Tentang film nya sendiri, gue dah baca bukunya jadi dah tau jalan cerita dan siapa yang jahat. Gue sebenernya pengen liat reaksi orang2 aja *biarpun ga keliatan karena gelap* Ada satu bagian di mana Robert Langdon bilang ke Sophie kalo dia itu keturunan Maria Magdalena yang katanya pasangan (spouse) Yesus. Di situ lumayan banyak orang yang tiba2 ketawa. Ya ga tau juga apa maksudnya mereka ketawa. Tapi temen gue yang non-Kristen aja nonton dan langsung bilang film nya ga make sense. Ada banyak yang ga konsisten.
Ya film itu emank udah banyak membawa perdebatan. Buat gue sendiri, gue bukannya fine2 aja dengan film semacam itu. Tapi gue menyadari serangan2 untuk "mengecilkan" Yesus itu sendiri sudah ada sejak dulu banget. Mungkin sejak kitab Gnostik itu ada kali ya. Baru2 ini gue nonton berita dr CNN online kalo ada orang yang menuntut pastur nya buat membuktikan Yesus bener2 existed. Sampe ke pengacara segala. Well, it will never stop.

Sedikit banyak gue kecewa setelah nonton X-MEN The Last Stand kemaren ini. Gue tentu jauh lebih suka X-MEN dibanding MI3 hohoho... Tapi... kenapa itu Mystique cuman muncul sedikit dan tiba2 jadi manusia biasa??? Sedih sekali T_T *buat yang belon nonton maap ya jadi spoiler hihi*
Yang paling keren jadi si Storm deh hihi... Gayanya emank cool abis dibanding si Scott yang ga jelas itu -__- BTW berkat nasihat dari Chimit kita tahan2in buat nungguin filmnya ampe bener2 abis hihi... And bener juga ada sedikit 'kejutan' di sana. Semoga masih ada X-MEN 4 and bisa liat Mystique lagi hohoho... Overall gue suka film nya. Cuman aja kemaren kita nonton di baris kedua dari depan dan duduk di pinggir. Kayanya ga heran kalo sekarang gue sakit leher and ngantuk banget...

What! thou the spouse of Christ, and yet content without His company! There is yet a higher argument: each time you "serve sin" you have "Crucified the Lord afresh, and put Him to an open shame." Can you bear that thought? Oh! if you have fallen into any special sin during this day, it may be my Master has sent this admonition this evening, to bring you back before you have backslidden very far. Turn thee to Jesus anew; He has not forgotten His love to thee; His grace is still the same. With weeping and repentance, come thou to His footstool, and thou shalt be once more received into His heart; thou shalt be set upon a rock again, and thy goings shall be established.

Hari ini hari terakhir bulan Mei. Artinya udah hampir setahun lulus and kerja =) Sebelum sempet first anniversary di UTAC, gue bakal pindah ke tempat yang baru, Motorola. Gue bakal mulai kerja di sana tanggal 12 Juni. Jadi besok gue bakal terbang dulu ke Indo sekalian attend my childhood friend's wedding on 3rd June *asik pesta hehe* I'll be back next Monday, work for another week in UTAC and shift to Motorola which is only 1 MRT station away from UTAC.
Bersyukur buat setahun ini. Pengalaman boleh belum banyak tapi gue udah banyak ketemu orang yang menyenangkan maupun yang bikin gue sampe geli juga liatnya *geli krn lucu dan aneh*. Anehnya karena gue heran dengan cara dia hidup dan berbicara. Kayanya melelahkan sekali. Semoga dia bisa menemukan cara hidup yang lebih baik dan mengerjakan anugerah yang sudah diterimanya sebaik2nya.
Nevertheless, ada juga orang2 mengagumkan dan patut dicontoh dengan kinerjanya yang efektif dan memberikan inspirasi buat bawahan2nya. Dia lebih terlihat people-oriented daripada task-oriented, yang dulunya gue percaya pasti ga akan bisa bertahan lama dan project2 bakal keteteran. Tapi ternyata, semuanya baik2 aja tuh dan makin ada kesadaran kerja dari kita2. Gue dulu taunya leader itu people-oriented dan manager itu task-oriented. Dua type orang ini sama2 diperlukan.
Tapi, setelah gue melihat orang yang gue gambarkan di atas, gue yakin untuk jadi pemimpin harus bisa dua2nya. Seimbang. Kalo terlalu task-oriented bakal menyiksa sub-ordinates, sebaliknya kalo terlalu people-oriented bakal bikin progress jadi pelan dan akhirnya semua keteteran.
Intinya biarpun mungkin pernah/sering denger gue ngomel selama setahun ini, gue bersyukur gue menemukan role model seorang pemimpin yang menurut gue lumayan mendekati ideal. Jarang banget bisa ada kesempatan belajar dari orang macam dia dan team-nya. Humble yet capable. Semoga setahun mendatang bisa ada pengalaman berharga yang bisa ditulis lagi di sini.
