Agustus adalah .... waktunya CPF naik jadi 15%!!!!!

Cepet banget ya udah Agustus lagi... Bentar lagi National Day. Btw kenapa sih NDP taon ini disebut last NDP? Emank taun depan ga ada NDP lg ya? Anyway I'm looking forward to that holiday. Terus menantikan pula liburan lumayan panjang di bulan Oktober hohoho... Pengen jalan2 >.< tapi ga ada persiapan gitu...

Oiya gue belakangan memikirkan kebenaran perkataan tentang oma2 di Singapore. Kenapa mereka rambutnya ampir sama semua? Keriting2, pendek, kaya rambut2 berombak baru tumbuh begitu? Apakah ada salon khusus oma2 di sini? Ato oma2 itu kebanyakan bonding, cat rambut, kriting dsb jadi pas tuanya kaya gitu semua. Emank sih ada beberapa yang lurus... mungkin karena mereka merawat rambutnya sejak muda ya haha lol.

Anyway it's about time to resume those activities. Time to stop hybernating ^.^ Ganbarimasyoooo

Singnet... again

If you're a regular attendant here, you'll remember I complained about SINGNET in one of my posts around one month ago. And it happenned again yesterday night! Suddenly my phone line became so noisy and when I checked, my broadband link was not detected at all. From my last experience, I learned to wait a few hours to get it up again. But when I woke up at 5am this morning, it was still dead and it pissed me off. So I called that stupid Singtel hotline and asked them to send their technician. But they can only send it tomorrow 10am. Do they think I can wait that long? Today is holiday u know??? How am I supposed to pass this day without internet????

Sighzzz luckily I went to sleep again and when I woke up it's okay. So here I am blogging and typing longer than other posts lately =P. I think I was in desperate mode for about 3-4 weeks. A lot of bad things has come into my way. I realize I got so many blessings also. But what I want is a peace of mind when NOTHING wrong happenned. Hehe I'm asking too much is it?

Well today is holiday. Singapore is having its 41st birthday. I don't have any plan yet. I want to spend my time at home. I love my new home very much. And until now I haven't got a chance to really enjoy being at home hehehe... I still remember our conversation when we were in high school. What kind of house do you want to have one day? I answered I want a big and modern house with so many rooms and details! One of my friends said it doesn't have to be very big as long as it's convenient for her to stay in. All these years I've been thinking about it and she's right! Choosing a house is based on feeling. As long as you like it then it's fine. So here I am, my best home in town =D

Talking about home, actually I missed my old "home" in Hall 11 Block 53. I heard it has become the dirtiest blog in Hall 11. And now there's no more Canteen 11. Good in one way coz since my last 2 years there, they have been serving poor food. Only Uncle Tan who was selling chicken rice knows how to give us good food. Nevertheless, I still love that place. I still remember the first time I saw my roon 53-4-1044. I feel like asking my mum, can I stay at hotel forever???? Hahaha... But then I met many friends there. We studied and laughed together. Sometimes some of us had quarrel, the other time we went to Lau Pa Sat and Sentosa together. And we always attended that Chinese New Year dinner with all of us wearing red T-shirt sponsored by Giordano and went home with many lucky draws. Not to forget our BBQ to commemorate 11/9 tragedy *recess always fall around that date*

I can say proudly that Elevenerz is the first hall who has a strong bond ^.^ And it has irreplacable portion in my heart. I miss my university time very much. Yesterday I went to NTU Hall 13 to meet "my little pigs" who are now in their 3rd year *not so little anymore maybe haha*. I saw innocents freshies and suddenly reminded me of the time I had every year in Nanyang House! Yup to apply for SU subcomm position. Haha I hate that routine last time. Now I wish I could have one more chance to be one of them =)

Never mind, I love working as well. Though sometimes it's very demoralizing and tiring -__- Not forget to mention a thick-skinned and daring fellow who made me want to vomit hahaha... Lucky we're not at the same team. On her first day I already shocked seeing her joining our company. Oh I should stop talking about her in my blog. There should be no place for such thing here =P But I'm happy with my current job. I'm glad I found new friends to have a chit chat and share some laughter.

Ok I'm done with today's blogging session. I saw my flatmate going out already. It's my turn to start my day.

apa sih soulmate itu? beneran ada apa nggak? kalo soulmate itu ada mungkin ga soulmatenya nun jauh di kutub utara situ?

ya terlepas dari percaya apa nggak tentang keberadaan soulmate, gue baru aja kelar baca novel indo karangan Jesica Huwae yang judulnya soulmate.com. Lucu, aneh, terkesan tolol di beberapa bagian, tapi cara si penulis bercerita bikin gue ga bisa ga terima sama apa yang dilakuin tokoh utamanya, Nadya.

Nadya, editor utama di sebuah majalah diceritakan baru aja diputusin pacarnya yang nota bene pegawai kantoran biasa. Nadya yang cewe metropolitan and gaya banget harus ngaku kalah sama cewe kantoran biasa yang pake kemeja longgar dan rok bunga2 *eww* Ada satu komentar temennya yang menurut gue lucu. "Kalo emank lu ditakdirin dapet Mercy, ngapain juga nangisin bajaj yang lewat." Haha

Singkat cerita pas baru putus ini, si Nadya kenalan sama Oka lewat Yahoo Messenger. Tapi hidup mereka masih berjalan sendiri2. Nadya punya pacar baru yang ternyata tukang pukul. Berlanjut dengan pacar2 putus sambung lainnya. Si Oka yang orang Bali sibuk sama kerjaannya sendiri plus nge-band. Chattingan mereka juga diekspose di sini. Bicaranya kayanya lancar banget. Gue jadi ngerasa orang2 tuh bisa lebih terbuka sama orang yang jauh, ga sering ketemu. Intinya gpp membuka kelemahan2 dan kejelekan2 diri toh dia nun jauh disana… resiko kecil buat dikhianati dan disebar2 rahasianya.

Setelah cape gonta ganti pacar and pas liburan di Bali, mereka berdua akhirnya jadian. So much in love. SMS, chatting, telpon, dan hal2 normal lain yang biasa dialami pasangan baru. Sampe Nadya mulai ngerasa Oka ini aneh. Ditelpon yang jawab suara cewe, didatengin ke bali buat surprise malah ketemu sembunyi2, sampe akhirnya temen Oka bocorin kalo Oka udah M-E-N-I-K-A-H. Lucu emank kalo dalam sedetik semua kejadian indah dalam hidup ilang dan berganti dengan kenyataan yang berlawanan. Pas semua lagi serba lancar dan berbunga2 tiba2 harus dihadapkan dengan kenyataan kalo harus berakhir.

Anehnya lagi pas Oka bilang kalo dia ga happy dengan pernikahannya yang nota bene dijodohin, Nadya terima aja pas diajak jadi selingkuhannya. Gue sebenernya agak bingung. Gue takut ini novel jadi sekedar picisan doank. Gue ngerti gimana rasanya pas hal paling berharga dalam hidup lu akan berlalu. Mungkin itulah namanya kalo lagi buta. Ga peduli biarpun caranya salah yang penting masih bisa dapet yang kita mau. Sekali lagi ada nasihat berharga dari temennya yang bikin gue tersentuh juga. “Selingkuh itu seperti naik roller coaster. Seru, tegang, happy. Tapi seseru2nya naik roller coaster, tetep harus turun karena kalo di situ terus pasti bakal eneg.”

Cerita berakhir dengan Nadya ninggalin Oka lewat email. Gue suka bacanya. Mengalir lancar dan ga dibuat2. Nadya ga dibuat jadi tokoh dengan akal sehat tinggi yang ga bisa jatuh. Dia sama kaya orang2 biasanya di luar novel yang bisa naif. Tapi juga bisa berhenti berbuat salah.

Blog unblocked!

Some of you might heard that tabulas was blocked at my office last Friday. So I asked my tabulas fellows, what's wrong with our beloved journal? So I didn't try to access it for few days before finally this morning I accessed it again. And now I can blog again. Anyway it's not safe at all to blog at working hour. Not because of the tabulas, but because of my seat... Hehehe

I just finished watching Singapore Idol Result Show. Hadi Mirza is definitely the best! The prove? I gave him my S$1.20 alias 2 votes hee hee. Glad that he's safe this week hehehe.

Well, I have been thinking what more to write... but something stucks in my mind. it's the saying from SATC kira2 begini: "we all need family to turn on to. it could be the place where you were born, but it could also be the one you found by yourself." And while saying that Carrie met up and sit with her friends. hmmmmm..... yah kalo ga mo reply msg gue mah blg aja tauk!!!

DVD player

I got this from my best cousin! He's coming to town and bring me new DVD player. Then he bought King of Beggars DVD this evening. We tested it when we're at home and surprisingly I really missed those Chinese movies I used to watch a lot in my childhood. Pengemis Utara, Tongkat Pemukul Anjing, Sesat Timur, Racun Barat, Kaisar Selatan, Bocah Tua Nakal, Auw Yang Fong, Auw Yang Hok, Oey Yong, Kwee Ceng, dan teman2nya...... I want the complete series! huhuhu
