Life after holiday

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 05:30 AM on January 15, 2007.

Happy New Year 2007!!!! Well it's a bit too late now but it's ok since I haven't greeted everyone through my blog. So, how did you spend your time during New Year Eve and New Year Day? I spent it at my hometown. Usually every new year eve, if I was at Jakarta, I would go with my cousins to Tony Romas. But this time, it was the same day with Hari Raya Haji and it was very very crowded. So we decided to stay at home watching TV and listening to every single news about the missing Adam Air =P By the way I'm not the only one who spent time at home at that time. Some celebrities also chose to reject some performances to spend time with their family at home. Haha apa coba -___-

Actually this is my longest holiday after 1 or 2 years. Usually I only had around 5-6 days for Chinese New Year. Hmmm I only went out with Oka and Adel once (24 Dec), with Adsa once (4 Jan), with Feli, C'tine, and Meta 3 times (wow! this is a record haha), with my cousins twice. I spent the rest of my times with my family and watching sinetrons (Sinema Elektronik) on TV. Do you remember "Siapa Takut Jatuh Cinta" which was a plagiat from "Meteor Garden"? Now almost all sinetrons are plagiats from either Korean, Japanese or Taiwan drama. Oh not only that I think. Even High School Musical and Harry Potter are also available in Indonesian version ("Idola" by Dirly and Ghea for HSM and "Hari Potret" for Harry Potter). Hahahaha isn't it funny? Now we don't feel ashamed at all. Well to be honest, if the sinetron is originally made in Indonesia, we can guarantee it's a bad one.

Still talking about sinetron, there is a new word created by another creative Indonesian, setantron. Read the link provided. It's so smart and funny. So, what did I feel when I watched those stupid sinetrons, such as "Buku Harian Nayla" which is clearly a plagiat from "1 Litre of Tears" from Japan? I like this Jdorama very much. I even said that this is the best Jdorama I've ever watched. Frankly speaking I don't mind if they want to make Indonesian version of this as long as they put a disclaimer that this is an adaption on "1 Litre of Tears" (which they didn't do... instead they're saying that the story is a fiction) and they don't change the storyline (they ended the story by the wedding of Nayla and Moses). The moral of the story is very very good. But please appreciate the original version or at least the real Aya Kitou who actually wrote the diary..... Anyway for "Hari Potret" case, I can't do anything but laugh when I read it on the internet. Just read this, and you'll laugh too.

Hmmm I wanted to post the pics I had during the holiday but I'm too lazy to do it right now kekeke. Maybe one day I'll post it either at esnips, friendster, or tabulas gallery ^.^ Besides on those stupid sinetrons, I enjoyed watching movies at Jakarta. Using certain BCA card (Batman, Spiderman, Taz), we can get the ticket with 50% discount (1 for 1). Just imagine if I go to Kelapa Gading. Original price is Rp 35,000 (around S$6). With that card I can watch with only S$3!!!! I even watch "Happy Feet" which I never intended to watch hahaha. And the best thing is, this promotion is at weekend only! I think I'm willing to watch any movie even if I end up sleeping inside because the movie is boring =P

Ok I think that's all for this posting. Once again happy new year everyone!!!!

Buat yang suka minum tepeng

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 07:34 AM on January 17, 2007.

Secangkir teh dicampur susu memang nikmat, apalagi disajikan panas-panas.

doughnut fever

Posted by ver0n1c4 at 04:39 PM on January 27, 2007.

Jakarta has J-co and Krispy Kreme. At Senayan City these two stalls are just opposite to each other. If Krispy Kreme gave out free doughnuts, J-co would do the same thing and vice versa. Need not to ask, with these 2 "new" doughnut type, people have forgotten Dunkin Donuts. No matter where J-co or Krispy Kreme open a new branch, there would be a lot of people queueing to buy. And I can't deny they look so tempting. You would definitely feel hungry =P

How about Singapore? I realized the only doughnut we can find is from some Malay stall at Boon Lay, isn't it? Well, I just went back from Raffles City. I saw a long queue and decided to take a look. Donut Factory is the culprit! And few days ago I found out the Bread Talk started to sell doughnuts as well. So.... will doughnut fever happen at Singapore as well? Just wait and see ^.^

-J-co (up) and Krispy Kreme (bottom) Doughnuts. I still prefer J-co, though. What about u?-
