Ratu and Sidney Sheldon

2 days ago Mulan Kwok officially resigned from Ratu. That's the headline news of www.kompas.com. Another news saying Sidney Sheldon has passed away. Sighzzz.... I just start listening to Ratu's songs last holiday. And for me they're unique and interesting. Only 2 ladies, one playing keyboard, the other singing. Like M2M isn't it?
And Sidney Sheldon. I have been reading his books since I was in Junior High School. My friend lent "Morning, Noon, and Night" to me and I absolutely love it. Start reading his other books since then. My favorites are "If Tomorrow Comes", "Bloodline", "Windmill of gods", "Tell Me Your Dreams", "The Best Laid Plans", "The Sky is Falling" and "Master of The Game".
The one I like the most is "Master of The Game" which has Diamond mining as the setting. The best novel I have ever read until now. And undoubtedly Sidney Sheldon has been my favorite writer. I tried Jodi Piccoult few months ago and found out that Sheldon is still in my top list. I'm a bit sad because after this I won't have the excitement of checking the bookshop hoping that new book of Sheldon is launched.

dilema

hueee sekarang berasa ga enak badan banget... tapi dah terlanjur sampe kantor *gue td pagi berusaha meyakinkan diri kalo dah sampe kantor pasti sembuh tapi ternyata tidak....* haizzzz.... dilema karena hari ini ada customer dateng yang artinya atasan2 pada sibuk *semoga mereka tidak akan baca ini >.<* dan gue bisa agak santai plus no more release *looks like* jadi tinggal kerjain dokumen2 yang bisa dikerjakan dengan kecepatan siput *sekali lagi jgn sampe mereka baca ini*
btw gue agak bingung kenapa bisa sakit ya hueheuheue.... Sabtu kmrn gue outing bersama keluarga besar FESIM di Labrador Park. Ternyata bener2 lebih bagus dibikin waktu siang drpd malem spt taon2 biasanya... Biarpun agak diburu2 pas main games karena ada yg ngoceh kelamaan hahaha *j/k j/k* tapi overall gue enjoy ketemu sama orang2 dari berbagai kampus plus senior2 alumni. Rasanya jadi lebih bersemangat kalo liat alumni2 lama tapi masih semangat pelayanan =)
Terus pas renungannya juga bagus *mungkin sedikit kelamaan krn panas bener*. Diingatkan untuk rendah hati. Saling memikirkan kepentingan orang lain baik satu kampus ataupun tidak. Kalo gue pikir2 tantangan gue yang paling besar tuh kalo liat orang yang gayanya (seperti) mantep tapinya pas lagi ngomong (terdengar) kosong gitu. Susah banget buat ga mengkritik (dalam hati ataupun diucapkan). Yang paling gampang dilakuin itu ya cuekin aja alias ga peduli sama sekali. Keliatannya emank beda tipis ama bisa menerima kekurangan orang lain apa adanya (dari luar doank). Tapinya dalam hati HTYT (Hanya Tuhan Yang Tahu) kekeke.
hmmm skrg bagaimana caranya melewatkan waktu? apakah dengan melihat2 dior, juicy couture, dan teman2nya?

February is one of my fave months. First we have Valentine right in the middle of the month
Look around and suddenly everything is more pinkish and reddish 
Next, we also have Chinese New Year which means more holiday!!! (and more money if u're at Jkt =P) Last one is, February only has 28 days! 28 days minus 8 days (weekends) minus 2 days of CNY and 1 day of company holiday equals to 17 working days!!!! And you still get full month of salary. More money, less expenses, doesn't it sound great? So I plan to "reward" myself more this month. Well I don't know. Doesn't seem to need something urgent for now. But shopping mode is on all the way 
Hehe by thinking this way, I certainly could motivate myself more. Like what I said before, currently we are in the not-busy period. Some of my colleagues are even in holiday mood already. One by one will go back to their hometown to celebrate CNY. I am not going back home this year. Looks like it's a right decision. Remembering the situation at Jakarta now. it's flooding everywhere... sighzzz...
Hmmm when chatting about a friend this morning, suddenly I thought about obsession. Some definition of obsession:
- Compulsive preoccupation with a fixed idea or an unwanted feeling or emotion, often accompanied by symptoms of anxiety
- a persistent disturbing preoccupation with an often unreasonable idea or feeling
Of course I'm not talking about my friend here hehe. I remembered reading a book entitled "Cintapuccino". A very nice book by Icha Rahmanti talking about a girl who has an obsession over a guy, Nimo for ten years! She joined the same activity with that guy, went into the same university, tried very hard to get all information about him, used his name as her password etc etc but she got nothing in return (Finding Nimo failed =P). Until one day she met a "saviour" and start a new life. Then it happened when she's about to get married, the obsession from the past appears before her eyes and shows her some "green light".
Sounds like Serendipity? Forces of the Nature? Andai Dia Tahu? But what would you do if you're at her position? I believe in one way she will be very curious about her 10-year-obsession. But at the other way she can't let go her own happiness (which is one grab away) and it would be irresponsible to leave her "saviour" and go back to her 10-year-obsession. The end of the story is unexpected and unbelievable for me. And that makes me understand that in a game called "love" there are lots of things I can't understand. What applies to couple A might not be applicable for couple B. And in the end, the related parties must decide themselves. Some people believe in soulmate but for me soulmate is the one you tie the knot with.

Kalau cinta diibaratkan seperti secangkir kopi hitam reguler, yang natural, seperti habitnya black coffee, cinta dengan obsesi yang mengkronis seperti secangkir capuccino—perpaduan espresso (ekstrak kopi yang lebih kuat, sekuat keyakinan yang membuat sebuah obsesi menjadi penyakit menahun) dan susu (hal-hal indah dan manis yang sesekali terjadi, tapi justru memperkuat perasaan itu)..

We are a team of undergraduate students from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Our study is affiliated with the Singapore Internet Research Centre (SiRC) and examples of previous studies can be found here: http://www.ntu.edu.sg/sci/sirc/workingpapers.html.

Just Follow Law

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!!! Have you watched Just Follow Law? If you answer "No" that means you have wasted your Chinese New Year holiday ^.^
I watched it on Wednesday. I thought the cinema would be quite empty since everybody should have been going back to work already. To my surprise the cinema was full (and I watched at GV Max -____-). Dunno whether all these people took leave or their company also have extra holiday huhuhu.
The movie is excellent! Thumbs up for Jack Neo, Gurmit Singh, and Fann Wong. The storyline is about the office environment in Singapore. With all the facts that many of us use emails to defend ourselves and attack the others, or when there is a problem we will do point-finger here and there to blame others, and even the fact that some of us only wait for the payday every month ^.^
I recommend this movie to everyone who is currently working here or at least know the condition of Singapore working life. Very entertaining and enriching at the same time =P

Elliott Yamin fans are being awarded for their patience! He is set to release his debut album on March 20. Elliott worked closely with his music publisher on the writing and production of the album, and the two parties will similarly cooperate in the marketing of the project.
"This is an ideal situation that enables Elliott to have real creative and marketing input over the music that he produces," manager Jeff Rabhan said. The deal will also allow Elliott "to participate as a meaningful partner in the album's financial success," Rabhan said.
"I'm excited to get my music out to my fans, and I'm thrilled to be back in the studio working on original music," Elliott said.
"We are very happy to help Elliott achieve his vision and bring his music to his strong fan base, said Danny Strick, President, Sony/ATV Music Publishing. “This project is a natural development of our role as a modern day publisher, helping our writers to reach the broadest audience."
Elliott’s first single, Movin’ On, is already available.
Elliott finished his nationwide American Idol tour shortly after the show ended, performing live in front of half a million fans. He’s planning a solo tour for spring/summer 2007.
