Few interesting stuff for this week. We have tea party every Wednesday 3pm. And breakfast every Monday 9am. Yesterday morning we had a cake (my team only). There was no special occasion. We just had unwritten rule where people need to pay 1kr everytime they cursed or said bad words. So when we have enough money, we'll buy something... Well I don't have a chance to take a picture of the cake. But it is a meringue cake. And if Merry or Anissa saw it, they will scream "FAT!!!" =P
Yesterday I went to Pat2's office then she showed me the church she has been going to. The street in the evening was so quiet... Looking at the old building made me feel like in Harry Potter movie =P I will take more pictures when Pat2 come back from Singapore...
Today is Good Friday... Long Friday, that's what people here call it. One of my colleague has been asking why it is Good Friday in English, while it is not good at all according to him hehehe... Yesterday my colleagues tried to help me to find some activities during this Easter break (we are on holiday until Monday). They asked me what my interest is. What I am doing during my spare time. I bluntly said it is shopping and they laughed at me. Well I really can't think of anything else. That's what we do in our little red dot city, isn't it? Watching movies, eating, going for haircut, buying books, everything was done in the shopping center... and I simply call it shopping. So in the end they didn't really find something good for me to do.
So what am I doing today? I woke up in the morning and get ready to go to Long Friday service at 11am. It was snowing cats and dogs (do we have this phrase for snowing?). And the bus was realy slow because it is public holiday. The church is an international church. There are no preaching today. We only remembered what had happened on that day through some monologue. In total there are 5 monologues. The Supper, The Denial, The Trial, The Crucifixion, and The Death. In the middle of each monologue, the choir will sing a song. Sometimes we also sing along with them.
From there I walked alone to central area. Not much thing I can see there. Most of the shops are close and such place like museum are definitely close. I will try my luck tomorrow.... Thanks for reading
